Murder and Chocolate Cake (Daley Buzz #17) (Mysteries of Treasure Cove #2), by Meredith Potts (author), Carrie Burgess (narrator)

Meredith Potts, September 2018

Sabrina Carlson, and her police detective husband David are faced with an alarming dilemma. Wade Becker, who years ago murdered Sabrina's sister, and a few years ago was finally caught by Sabrina and David, and subsequently convinced and locked up for life, as escaped.

And he's out for revenge.

This time it's not other citizens of the town of Treasure Cove who are at risk. It's the Carlsons themselves, including potentially their eleven-year-old daughter. They quickly send her and Sabrina's parents out of town, so they can concentrate on this investigation.

A recurring theme in the story is, of course dessert, in this case chocolate cake. Sabrina concedes it's not the solution to everything, but is pretty sure it should be.

This is a quick, rather light story. Not a lot of depth, but definitely a good amount of charm and humor.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the publisher, and am reviewing it voluntarily.
